Role Overview
We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Paid Media Manager (PPC) to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and scale high-impact paid acquisition channels, managing substantial budgets across Meta and TikTok for a diverse portfolio of global and local brands.

Role Overview 
Global Citizen is seeking a Social Media Senior Manager (Senior Manager-level) to lead the strategy, development, and execution of social media across the channels of our CEO. This role sits within the Office of the CEO and works closely with Global Citizen&rsquo;s Marketing and Communications teams to ensure alignment between the CEO&rsquo;s voice and the organization&rsquo;s broader mission, campaigns, and brand. 
The Social Media Senior Manager will be responsible for executing a comprehensive social media strategy for the CEO, managing day-to-day content production and publishing, and identifying opportunities to elevate the CEO&rsquo;s voice across key platforms. This role requires a strong strategic thinker and hands-on content operator who can translate organizational priorities, global moments, and key partnerships into compelling digital storytelling.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting senior executives or C-suite leaders on social media and understands how to balance brand management, executive voice, hands-on content creations, and mission-driven storytelling in a fast-paced global organization. 
Key Responsibilities

Content Development &amp; Storytelling - 30%
<ul>
<li>Lead the development of social media content across the CEO&rsquo;s channels, including written posts, short-form video, scripts, graphics, and multimedia storytelling.</li>
<li>Draft social copy, talking points, captions, and scripts as part of the content pre-production.</li>
<li>Coordinate with internal teams to translate key moments&mdash;campaigns, announcements, global events, partnerships, and milestones&mdash;into engaging social content.</li>
<li>Maintain a consistent and authentic voice for the CEO while ensuring alignment with Global Citizen&rsquo;s brand and mission.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Build and maintain a comprehensive content calendar for the CEO&rsquo;s social channels, including day-to-day posting, tentpole moments, events, and campaign amplification.</li>
<li>Coordinate closely with the CEO&rsquo;s diary and Office of the CEO team to identify opportunities for real-time content capture during meetings, events, and travel.</li>
</ul>
Production &amp; Content Creation - 30%
<ul>
<li>Capture and produce social-first content including short-form video, behind-the-scenes moments, and event-based content.</li>
<li>Manage external vendors and freelance creators as needed to support high-quality content production.</li>
<li>Review and provide feedback for all outsourced content to ensure it aligns with Global Citizen&rsquo;s and the CEO&rsquo;s voice and brand.</li>
</ul>
Technology &amp; Platform Management - 15%
<ul>
<li>Maintain strong working knowledge of social media platforms and their evolving features and algorithms.</li>
<li>Utilize digital tools and analytics platforms to optimize performance and workflow.</li>
<li>Understand how to implement paid media campaigns for individual verified accounts.
</li><li>Provide technology support related to content capture, publishing, and social media management when required.</li>
</ul>
Social Media Strategy &amp; Leadership - 15%
<ul>
<li>Execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the CEO&rsquo;s channels that aligns with Global Citizen&rsquo;s organizational priorities, campaigns, and global moments.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to elevate the CEO&rsquo;s voice across key platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging channels.</li>
<li>Continuously monitor trends, industry developments, and partner activity to identify new opportunities for engagement and thought leadership.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Global Citizen Growth Team to ensure the CEO&rsquo;s digital presence supports broader organizational messaging and strategic priorities.</li> 
</ul>
Analytics &amp; Performance - 10%
<ul>
<li>Monitor and analyze the performance of social media campaigns and content across the CEO&rsquo;s platforms.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to optimize engagement, audience growth, and impact through data-informed decision making.</li>
<li>Develop frameworks to measure and report on the effectiveness of the CEO&rsquo;s social presence.</li></ul> 


Key Requirements
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience managing social media strategy and content, preferably supporting senior executives or C-suite leaders.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful social media campaigns across multiple platforms.</li>
<li>Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone for executive voice.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of major social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.</li>
<li>Experience producing or managing multimedia content including video and short-form digital storytelling.</li>
<li>Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.</li>
<li>Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.</li>
<li>High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.</li>
<li>This role requires communicating with colleagues across time zones, which can be outside of standard East Coast working hours.</li>
<li>Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.</li>

<li>Global Citizen operates on a hybrid work model - 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our NYC office and 2 days (Monday &amp; Friday) telecommuting. However, this role often requires in-office work on Mondays and Fridays.</li>
