Position Overview
The Training &amp; Development Training Intern will provide operational support to the department by acting as a liaison, organizing training events, creating reports, and coordinating requests for various services. The individual who fills this position must possess high energy, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, customer-focused approach and a willingness to be open and flexible.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Provide logistical support for all training including marketing workshops, material preparation, room set-up, enrollment/registration and class follow-up.</li>

Position Overview
The Quality Improvement Specialist intern will help drive initiatives that improve clinical quality and ensure members are connected to timely and appropriate care. This work centers on HEDIS, the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set, which is a national standard for measuring how well health plans deliver preventive care, chronic condition management, and other essential services.
During the internship, the student will contribute to the design and evaluation of a performance improvement intervention tied to a priority HEDIS measure or process, gaining hands‑on experience with healthcare quality methods, data interpretation, and operational execution.
This role offers meaningful exposure to how quality programs drive member outcomes, influence health plan performance, and support a career in healthcare quality, population health, or analytics.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities

Position Overview
Under the direct supervision of the MLTC Clinical Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist Intern is responsible for reviewing the Uniform Assessment System-NY (UAS-NY) assessments to support the data analysis, monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities within the Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) department. This position will conduct ongoing analyses that will support MLTC operations in five key areas: regulatory compliance, care management, quality/performance measurement, special projects/grants, and administrative functions. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor&rsquo;s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
 
 
 The Criminal Justice Unit handles both expense and capital for criminal justice-related agencies in NYC. It includes expense oversight of the District Attorney's Offices, Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, Public Administrators, and the public defenders while capital projects include renovation and construction of all courthouses.
 
 
 
 Job Description
 
 
 
 The intern could be working on several projects for the unit. The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice has over $800M in human services contracts and the unit would like to create a dashboard of spending by contract that can be updated regularly. The CJ Unit will also be undertaking a heavier monitoring process of the 18-B/Assigned Counsel Program to monitor state revenue claiming and spending. Projects would overall allow the intern to understand how court and the criminal justice operations operate and what that means for the City budget.

Who we are looking for
ISLG is recruiting up to four (4) CUNY undergraduate and/or graduate student interns to work on a variety of research projects. Interns may work on one or more projects and may contribute to a number of quantitative or qualitative analyses and help with project administration. Potential projects include but are not limited to:
<ul><li>The Safety and Justice Challenge (SJC) is a national initiative launched in 2015 by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The initiative advances fair and effective policies and practices across the local criminal legal system, with three key goals&ndash;reduce jail populations; promote racial equity and reduce racial/ethnic disparities in jails; and advance community safety. Over 50 cities and counties across the country participate in the SJC and CUNY ISLG serves as the national intermediary and primary data and analytic partner. As the initiative will be sunsetting in December 2026, CUNY ISLG is working to establish the SJC legacy through a data archive and a legacy website. The data archive will house criminal legal data collected from SJC sites by CUNY ISLG throughout the course of the initiative. The &ldquo;one-stop-shop&rdquo; legacy website will contain critical resources, reports, tools, and other products created under the SJC&mdash;including legacy materials that present key summative learnings&mdash;for various audiences and actors that contribute to local change.
</li><li>The Prosecutorial Data Collaborative supports prosecutors&rsquo; offices in building the infrastructure and culture necessary to effectively use data in their offices, courtrooms, and communities to support decision-making and policy. This includes the development of tools and processes to assist prosecutors in managing their offices, assessing performance, and ensuring that office practices align with leadership goals and priorities. Assistance may involve the development of data dashboards, deeper dive analyses of particular aspects of office practice, technical assistance with data interpretation, and sustainability planning and support.
</li><li>The Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) is a Bureau of Justice Assistance initiative that provides funding for the development, implementation, or expansion of comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support those impacted by opioids, stimulants and other drugs.
</li><li>The BJA Smart Supervision Project is a Bureau of Justice Assistance funded project to develop an Integrated Data System (IDS) in York County, Pennsylvania. The IDS will integrate client- and case-level records from criminal justice, medical and behavioral health, and human service entities operating in the County. The goals of the integrated data system are to help support more effective client case management by sharing information about client involvement in multiple systems (e.g., probation, jail, mental health, substance use), and to increase successful and equitable outcomes for probation supervision clients. CUNY ISLG serves as the research and evaluation partner for the project.
</li></ul>The core of this internship is creating community and peer-to-peer learning among ISLG interns; to foster community we will have bi-weekly, in-person convenings that will cover a range of topics such as relationship building, project management, etc.
We are hiring interns to work at ISLG from May 26&ndash; July 30). Interns will have a hybrid work schedule and report to a designated ISLG staff member. Interns will work on a range of tasks within the project(s) listed above as well as others not listed here.
We are seeking research interns who will work on quantitative or qualitative tasks or a combination of the two. Tasks that the interns may be responsible for include:
<ul><li>Writing syntax to process, validate and standardize case-level administrative data files for analysis;
</li><li>Attending meetings with project partners and taking notes;
</li><li>Conducting literature reviews around a variety of topics;
</li><li>Synthesizing research publications across SJC priority areas, including those identified above;
</li><li>Contributing to public-facing written products, including policy and issue briefs, and presentations for academic and community audiences; and
</li><li>Other tasks as needed to support ISLG&rsquo;s work.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>Currently enrolled in one of the following degree programs at a CUNY school or have graduated from such a program within the last year: criminal justice, sociology, or other social science field;

Position Overview
Reporting to the Help Desk Manager, the Service Desk Technician will provide first level troubleshooting support for a variety of computing support issues while ensuring the highest-level customer service. This role will provide day to day support for application, hardware and networking issues. The Service Desk technician should be able to handle a minimum of 60 customer contacts a day while maintaining a 90% first call resolution.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Acts as the first point of contact for all IT issues, quickly responding customers request for IT service within SLA guidelines.</li>
<li>Serves as primary support for end user access management requests including new employee technology onboarding, account setups, access changes and terminations. Follows established audit procedures to ensure all employees receive proper access as authorized by their job function.</li>
<li>Accurately triages and categorizes incidents and requests coming into the Service Desk, ensuring all tickets are properly documented in accordance with IT quality guidelines.</li>
<li>Uses remote tools (Go to assist, SCCM) to further diagnose and troubleshoot issues at remote locations.</li>
<li>Appropriately routes issues not resolved on initial contact to the correct team for resolution, ensuring all troubleshooting and triage steps are documented in ticketing before reassignment.</li>
<li>Assists in documentation of Service Desk troubleshooting procedures that can be shared with the team&rsquo;s knowledge base.</li>
<li>Assists in identification of trends in incidents, recommending recurring issues for problem management process.</li>
<li>To ensure continuity of essential services, this role maybe required to work variable shifts and/or overtime depending on business</li>
