<div>The fundamental reason this classification exists is to develop, implement and oversee therapeutic recreational services and assisting with daily operations for the Therapeutic Recreation Center. The work responsibilities of the position include planning, supervising and coordinating the scheduling of all programs for diverse abilities and needs; supervising staff and volunteers; coordinating the orientation of all new participants; contributing to the department objectives; assisting the Therapeutic Recreation Center Director in daily operations such as scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation, support program development and community partnerships; supervising, mentoring and supporting staff, volunteers and internship programs. Supervision is received from the Therapeutic Recreation Director.

<div>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in therapeutic recreation or an allied health professional field of study such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology or science, speech pathology, music or art therapy, special education, or adaptive physical education and one (1) year of experience programming activities for therapeutic recreation.<div><br>

<li>Perform basic administrative functions including creating business correspondence, memorandums, informational packages, instructional job aids and reports.</li>
<li>Assist with scheduling and maintaining school calendar.</li>
<li>Greet and directs visitors and answer and routes calls as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain electronic filing systems.</li>
<li>Enter and maintain data using district databases pertaining to students and staff.</li>
<li>Maintain inventory of office supplies as needed.</li>
<li>Accounts payable functions such as paying bills, creating journal entries, and managing purchase orders.</li>
<li>Draft budget vs. actual reports for administration and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Monitor student accounts and respond to parent&rsquo;s inquiries.</li>
<li>Manage petty cash accounts and cash boxes as needed.</li>
<li>Complete other related projects and tasks as needed and/or assigned.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED equivalent<b>.</b></li>
<li>1-2 years related experience in an office environment with bookkeeping experience.</li>
<li>Experience in school operations is preferred.
