Tolerate and answer repetitious questions from passengers in a friendly, outgoing manner. Ability to speak and be understood in giving directions/information to passengers verbally and/or via overhead announcement systems.<br/></p><p>Computer skills: Passenger Service agents are required to use computer systems daily.<br/></p><p>Critical thinking skills: Agent may be called upon to troubleshoot issues to assist passengers with reservation issues, process excess baggage fees correctly, verify required visa documentation, etc.<br/></p><p>Basic math skills: Must be able to process payment transactions for flight/seat upgrades, excess baggage fees, etc.<br/></p><p>Time management skills: Passenger Service agents must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must report to work on a regular and timely basis.<br/></p><p>Qualifications:<br/></p><p>Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.<br/>If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. As we continue to grow, we only look for the best in the industry.<br/></p><p>Job responsibilities:<br/></p><p>Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.<br/></p><p>Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner.<br/></p><p>Safeguards customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.<br/></p><p>Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.<br/></p><p>Operate heavy equipment such as pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free of any danger.<br/></p><p>Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag cart, lavatory cart, and deicers; or manually push and pull push carts and containers. Operate equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories.<br/></p><p>Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.<br/></p><p>Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, which could include wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other vital property of passengers, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.<br/></p><p>Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required.<br/></p><p>Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.<br/></p><p>Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.<br/></p><p>Be on time, be prepared, and be safe. Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.<br/></p><p>Safety, Security and Compliance:<br/></p><p>All AGI Team members have a responsibility and duty while at work to:<br/></p><p>Take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.<br/></p><p>Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.<br/></p><p>Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, wellbeing, safety, security or welfare reasons.<br/></p><p>Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security.<br/></p><p>Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.<br/></p><p>Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.<br/></p><p>Fully understand AGI Health &amp; Safety and Security policies.<br/></p><p>Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.<br/></p><p>Physical Requirements:<br/></p><p>This job requires physical stamina and strength &ndash; Ramp Agents must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.<br/></p><p>Must be able to carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs.<br/></p><p>Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.<br/></p><p>Must be able to work in cramped or high places.<br/></p><p>Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities.<br/></p><p>Must be able to work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.<br/></p><p>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:<br/></p><p>Good Communication Skills &ndash; Ramp Agents must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively in a professional manner with the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew to coordinate the movement and handling of planes, equipment, baggage, and cargo.<br/></p><p>Basic math skills: Ramp agents may be required to calculate weight and balance calculations for planes.<br/></p><p>Computer skills: Ramp agents may be required to use computer systems to track cargo and baggage.<br/></p><p>Problem-solving skills: Ramp agents may be called upon to troubleshoot issues during loading and unloading.<br/></p><p>Time management skills: Ramp agents must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.<br/></p><p>Qualifications:<br/></p><p>Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.<br/></p><p>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean driving record.<br/></p><p>If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
