JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Manager, Clinical Nursing (RN) provides leadership and oversight to Nursing Coordinators (RNs) and LVN Care Coordinators, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. MLK BHC offers residential Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for a maximum of 99 adult individuals, comprising 33 beds each for judicially involved men, men, and women. MLK BHC collaborates closely with other Behavioral Health Center programs to ensure a comprehensive range of services for low-income and Medi-Cal-eligible individuals. Situated on the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital campus in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles, the program serves residents of all Los Angeles County.
 The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) assesses and monitors clients admitted for Residential and Withdrawal Management Programs. Safety and Compliance
 <ul>
<li>Perform periodic facility checks to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the facility.</li>
<li>Observe universal precautions, including correct handling of blood borne pathogens, storage of lab specimens, and disposal of infectious wastes.</li>
<li>Audit medication room and destroy medications as needed per policy.</li>
<li>Coordinate the collection of Sharps container and medical waste and maintain log.</li>
</ul>
Documentation
 <ul>
<li>Document client treatment progress, incident reports, and medical follow ups.</li>
<li>Complete all required paperwork, charting, records maintenance in a timely manner when providing direct services.</li>
<li>Submit program and contractual reporting and documentation requirement in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintain medication book for compliance with all funder requirements and update monthly.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation, adhering to regulatory and HealthRIGHT 360’s standards.</li>
</ul>
Administration and Other Duties
 <ul>
<li>Provide clerical support as assigned.</li>
<li>Assist with creation of agency policies and procedures regarding medication and medical issues.</li>
<li>Identify, report, and assist with the management of emergencies, and submit Incident Reports.</li>
<li>Complete assigned training in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Participate and attend meetings as assigned and as needed.</li>
<li>Arrange work schedule according to program needs.</li>
<li>Read and respond to emails and messages when appropriate.</li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS
 Education, Certification, or Licensure
 <ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent certification. Completion of an accredited LVN program.</li>
<li>Current LVN licensure in California.</li>
<li>Valid BLS Certification and First Aid Certification.</li>
<li>Valid California driver’s license and access to registered and insured transportation.</li>
</ul>
Must complete background check and livescan clearance.
