Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration, tuning and security patching.</div><ul><li>Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.</li><li>Conduct code review, deployment, testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification.</li></ul><div>
Over 5 years of experience in Power system applications (Generation) : Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Load Frequency Control, Load Forecasting, Economic Dispatch, Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Operator Training Simulator (OTS).</div><ul><li>Hands-on expertise preferably on GE Power On Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS/GDC Platform Software,</li></ul><div>
as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider etc.</div><ul><li>Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments</li><li>Experience with communication protocols: IEC 60870-5-101/104, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, OPC.</li><li>Experience of working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.</li><li>Experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting, such as C, C++, PERL, or similar.</li><li>SQL, shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.</li><li>Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems</li><li>Strong troubleshooting &amp; debugging skills</li></ul><p></p>

We help Amazonians make decisions about their experiments and reason about the business tradeoffs of their decisions. We research and develop decision quality improvements impacting billions of dollars in decision making every year. Improve analysis and understandability for our 60K internal users. We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to help us build the future of experimentation systems at Amazon.<br>

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</b></h2><ul><li>3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience</li><li>2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience</li><li>1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience</li><li>1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience</li><li>1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience</li><li>Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field</li><li>Experience programming with at least one software programming language</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></h2><ul><li>3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience</li><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent</li></ul><br>

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
