 Position Summary:
 
 This position serves a vital function in support of the company's clients, seniors and people with disabilities living independently in their homes, but who need assistance with daily tasks. The Home Care Aide - Core is on call for 5 days per week -- minimum one day being a weekend day, 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed). Work schedule is to be determined by the direct supervisor and this position cannot refuse assignments on scheduled days.
 
 
 
 Essential Duties
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 The Home Care Aide - Core calls into the office every morning for assignment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with personal care needs of the client (bathing, dressing, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry
 </li>
 <li>
 Transport client to doctor's office, grocery store and other essential errands
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist client with the self-administration of medications
 </li>
 <li>
 Observe and report any changes in client's condition
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Position Requirements &amp; Competencies

Bending and stooping to prepare equipment for consumer or managing consumer environment. Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting to ambulate. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and stoop. Caregivers responsibilities (snapshot)

As a Caregiver you will be responsible for assisting the client in aspects of their daily life as is indicated by their care plan. Caregivers have an important role in allowing our clients to maintain their independence. Caregivers are provided training and tools to be successful in their role, including training on the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and are provided access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training are also provided to all interested caregivers as Professional Development.

<ul><li>The Caregiver will demonstrate understanding of and encourage the independent living philosophy.</li></ul>
<ul><li>The JEVS Care at Home Caregiver will complete a competency examination after attending a training and orientation that address standard regulations. Annually thereafter, the JCAH Caregiver will complete an annual re-certification course and test.</li></ul>
<ul><li>The Caregiver will maintain confidentiality of client information as per HIPAA regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>The Caregiver will complete instrumental activities of daily living, according to the client&rsquo;s Plan of Care.</li></ul>

Required Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age or older</li>
<li>A High School diploma or GED is required</li>
<li>Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required</li>
<li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions</li>
<li>Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager</li>
<li>Completion of Caregiver Orientation</li>
<li>Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.</li>
<li>Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.</li>
