The Role</b></p>

Join us in revolutionizing the lending landscape. SoFi is seeking enthusiastic Senior Software Engineers who are ready to lead the development of key advancement to the next generation of our financial services platform.</p>
<p>
Data Foundations leads the path on building the central platform-level foundation and infrastructure that powers SoFi's entire data ecosystem. Their scope spans Infrastructure &amp; Core Primitives and Platform Operations &mdash; essentially the backbone that enables all data capabilities across the organization. Key qualifications of this role include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Leading the technical evolution of one or more key platform subsystems.</li>
<li>Resolving problems in the platform design and implementation that weren't clearly anticipated, taking requirements with ambiguity and proposing durable technical solutions.</li>
<li>Expertly leverage existing solution patterns and understand when to differentiate resulting in well-structured, maintainable code.</li>
<li>Ability to understand data models, APIs, scaling concerns, and failure modes in order to make effective trade-offs between maintainability and performance.</li>
<li>Creating stability by writing meaningful tests, considering observability, and leveraging your ability to debug complex issues across multiple system layers.</li>
<li>The ability to create clear design and operational documentation.</li>
<li>Contributes to code reviews, is a role model for more junior engineers, and contributes to team efficiency, beyond personal output.</li>

<p><b>What You'll Do</b></p>
<p>
As an emerging leader within our team, you will focus on building out the backend services for our next-generation Lending Platform. This role involves full product lifecycle engagement, from initial concept to deployment. Key responsibilities include implementing new capabilities, ensuring code quality, and delivering highly-available, scalable services. Success requires close technical collaboration with Product, Marketing, Operations, Business, Legal, and Compliance teams. You will be responsible for translating business requirements from these stakeholders into effective technical solutions that provide outstanding value to our members.</p>
<p><b>
What You'll Need</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering</li>
<li>3+ years as a professional, full-time Software Engineer, or similar relevant work experience.</li>
<li>Proficient coding in Java, Kotlin, or other similar object-oriented programming language.</li>
<li>Proficient working with GIT and related CI/CD systems.</li>
<li>Experience with public cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure.</li>
<li>Experience with any data warehousing solution like Snowflake and IAC tools to provision platform infrastructure.</li>
<li>Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Spring Boot or similar frameworks.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of relational and document database fundamentals.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of fundamental distributed systems concepts.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Nice To Have</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Full-Stack experience in both back-end (Kafka, Redis, Docker) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, React).</li>
<li>Experience with microservices design principles and architecture.</li>
<li>Experience with workflow orchestration technology (AWS step function, Airflow, Temporal).</li>
