Your Role: Special Projects Associate – Legal & Compliance Digitization & AI Strategy
As a Special Projects Associate within the Elanco Legal & Compliance team, you will be at the forefront of the department’s technological evolution. This is a part-time position, designed for a forward-thinking individual to drive high-impact digital transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be provided with an Elanco-issued device and the necessary tools to spearhead the integration of Artificial Intelligence and automated workflows across our legal functions.
Your Primary Goals & Responsibilities:
- AI Strategy & Digital Architecture: Support the digitization and automation of Legal & Compliance workflows across the global team, including the creation of a comprehensive, executive-level framework for the Legal & Compliance AI Strategy alongside leaders on the Legal Operations & Support team.
- Self-Service AI Personas: Develop and deploy specialized Elanco AI Contract Personas for each legal contract type, empowering business stakeholders to self-serve routine legal inquiries and contract drafting through guided AI interactions.
- Train Business and Legal Stakeholders: Train business and legal stakeholders on best-practices for utilizing the Elanco AI Contract Personas.
- Productivity Metrics & Analytics: Design and implement a robust metrics reporting mechanism for the Legal & Compliance team to measure, track, and report on productivity gains and time-savings accelerated via AI personas and digitization initiatives.
- Executive Reporting: Curate and deliver executive-level reporting and dashboards that visualize the progress, ROI, and strategic impact of digital transformation efforts to senior leadership.
- Technology Advocacy: Pioneer the use of AI and legal technology to automate routine workflows, allowing the broader legal team to focus on high-stakes strategic framing.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (JD), Legal Studies, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field with a strong interest in Legal Operations/Legal Tech.
- Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated familiarity with AI utilization (specifically LLMs and prompt engineering), data-driven operations, and digital workflow automation tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to create data visualizations and reporting frameworks that translate complex activities into clear executive-level insights.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft strategic frameworks and present to executive leadership.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the animal health, pharmaceutical, or agricultural industries.
- Proven skills in project management and leading cross-functional digital initiatives with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
- Prior experience in developing AI personas or implementing "Legal Tech" solutions within a corporate legal department.
Additional Information:
- Duration: Temporary assignment for up to 18 months.
- Commitment: Part-time (flexible hours to be discussed).
- Location: Global Elanco Headquarters - Indianapolis, IN - Hybrid or Remote Work Environment.
