Summary

The Lead, Data Analytics position will support the Baylor College of Medicine School of Medicine MD program in its management of complex educational data. This position will support the integration of data sources to create generation of automated reports and dashboards that can be used for the longitudinal tracking of student and program performance. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between the MD program, the platforms in which data is collected, and BCM Information Technology units to ensure data is stored and maintained appropriately. Looking for an individual with demonstrated experience and ability to work independently in the creation of systems and dashboards.

Job Duties
<br>Leads the design, evolution, and long‑term stewardship of the School of Medicine’s data storage and reporting ecosystem, high‑quality data assets, and reliable analytics capabilities that support decision‑making.
<br>Leads and oversees end‑to‑end system integration efforts with IT, driving strategic collaboration to enhance data governance, optimize data workflows, and strengthen program‑wide data management infrastructure.
<br>Utilizes data architecture to identify, design, and implement automation and efficiency improvements across data collection, integration, and reporting workflows, ensuring scalable, reliable, and data operations.
<br>Develops, standardizes, and oversees data‑capture workflows across multiple systems (VidaNova, Jenzabar, NBME, ExamSoft, etc.), ensuring seamless integration, high‑quality data, and reliable reporting.
<br>Oversees and coordinates the development, validation, and deployment of recurring and ad hoc reports, including requirements definition, testing, and distribution.
<br>Creates and maintains automated dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI to facilitate the real-time review of student and program performance for actionable insights into student outcomes and program performance.
<br>Serves as the main expert and is responsible for the identification, integration, and preparation of large volumes of student and program data.
<br>Prepares high quality documentation that follows industry standards and aligns with BCM and IT requirements.
<br>Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets.
<br>Leads stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to support adoption and effective use of reports and dashboards to meet the needs of educational programs.
<br>Supports technical delivery aligned with business requirements from customers, and transforms the requirements into data warehouse schema and data processes.
<br>Serves as a backup to the ongoing support of systems for all educational programs (e.g., VidaNova, AMBOSS).
<br>May provide guidance, training, or mentorship to users and team members across varying levels of data literacy.
<br>This position will have a dotted reported line to Office of Informational Technology and will regularly collaborate with the IT data architecture team and educational IT team.

<br>Assists the EAR team with proctoring of exams, including serving as a Chief Proctor in alignment with NBME protocols.

You partner closely with Front Office, Market Risk, Middle Office, IT, Compliance, Credit, Settlements, Legal, and Accounting to deliver disciplined NPA reviews, robust operational risk governance, and the full suite of supporting frameworks: RCSA, ERM, BIA, BCP, KRIs, and Operational Risk Capital.</div><br>

New Product Approval (NPA)</div>
<ul>
<li>Own end-to-end coordination of the NPA process across Light, Full, and Project NPAs, from intake through approval, conditions tracking, and post-implementation review.</li>
<li>Perform pre-assessment reviews of new products, markets, counterparties, instruments, and trading strategies; structure the scope of each NPA accordingly.</li>
<li>Facilitate cross-functional NPA working sessions with Front Office, Market Risk, Middle Office, IT, Compliance, Credit, Settlements, Legal, Tax, and Accounting.</li>
<li>Identify control gaps and system-readiness issues; document required remediations, conditions of approval, and target dates.</li>
<li>Maintain the NPA pipeline, approval log, and conditions register; report status to the EEMNA Risk Committee and to ENGIE HQ.</li>
<li>Coordinate with ENGIE Global Risk on cross-border NPA reviews and alignment with group-wide product governance standards.</li>

<div>Operational Risk Management</div>
<ul>
<li>Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across trading activities, systems, processes, third parties, and people.</li>
<li>Manage the operational risk incident lifecycle: capture, classification, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and lessons learned.</li>
<li>Maintain the operational risk event database and ensure timely escalation of material incidents to management and HQ per group policy.</li>
<li>Support the calculation, monitoring, and periodic update of Operational Risk Capital requirements, including maintenance of methodology, scenarios, and supporting documentation.</li>
<li>Drive control enhancement initiatives in partnership with process owners; verify design and operating effectiveness of key controls.</li>

<div>Risk &amp; Control Frameworks</div>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the annual RCSA cycle: process inventory, risk identification, control assessment, residual risk rating, and action plan tracking.</li>
<li>Define, monitor, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs); investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.</li>
<li>Execute Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and support the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) program, including test exercises and after-action reporting.</li>
<li>Maintain risk and control documentation, taxonomies, and governance artifacts in the EEMNA risk system of record.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of operational risk policies, procedures, and standards.</li>
</ul>
<div>Technology &amp; Process Risk</div>
<ul>
<li>Assess risks tied to trading platforms, market data, valuation engines, settlement systems, and end-user computing tools.</li>
<li>Partner with IT and the business on system enhancements, UAT, change-management reviews, and post-implementation validation.</li>
<li>Identify automation and process-improvement opportunities that strengthen controls and reduce manual risk exposure.</li>

<div>Global Coordination &amp; Stakeholder Management</div>

<li>Coordinate with ENGIE global teams and HQ functions in Europe to support governance alignment, NPA reviews, and group-wide framework rollouts.</li>

What You&rsquo;ll Bring</b></div>

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in operational risk, internal audit, controls, middle office, or trading-floor risk, preferably within commodities, energy, or financial services.</li>
<li>Exposure to NPA, RCSA, KRI, BIA/BCP, or operational risk capital processes is strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of physical and financial energy products (power, gas, environmental, structured).</li>
<li>Proficiency in risk management tools, ETRM systems (e.g., Aligne or equivalent), and data analysis (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python is a plus).</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear conclusions and decisions.</li>
<li>Clear, concise written and verbal communication; comfortable engaging Front Office, control functions, and senior leadership.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through on multiple parallel workstreams.</li>
