 The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $69,000 to $74,000 ($35.38 to $37.95 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate&rsquo;s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

 The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $67,000 to $73,000 ($34.36 to $37.44 hourly); and in San Francisco is $77,000 to $83,000 ($39.49 to $42.56 hourly). Associate Claims Counsel manage their own claims load, oversee outside litigation counsel, and engage in high-level problem solving, negotiation and legal analysis in a stimulating and collegial environment with an opportunity for long-term growth and advancement.
What You'll Do:<ul><li>
Investigate the facts and issues of the claim, determine whether coverage exists, evaluate loss under the title policy, assess defenses for the insured and/or the company, determine need to retain outside counsel, develop and carry out a plan to address the claim and manage the claim and/or litigation through to final resolution</li><li>
Negotiate settlements and resolutions with claimant / opposing counsel / third parties</li><li>
Appear as company representative in court proceedings, mediations and settlement conferences</li><li>
Manage claim budget, review and approve outside counsel invoices and other expenses and determine settlement and expense reserves</li><li>
Direct outside counsel on litigation strategy through the course of claim administration and litigation</li><li>
Identify and pursue sources for recovery</li></ul>
What You'll Bring:<ul><li>
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and organizational skills</li><li>
Law Degree required</li><li>
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in any state of the United States</li><li>
