The Software Engineer designs, builds, and operates enterprise applications, data pipelines, and AI systems across the Microsoft stack. The role spans full-stack application development, modern data platform engineering, and AI agent delivery &mdash; working across C#/.NET, Azure data services, and Azure AI Foundry to produce reliable, governed, production-ready solutions aligned to business and legal operations needs. The candidate may work remotely from any one of our Womble locations.</p>
<p><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services using C#, .NET, Blazor, React, and TypeScript</li>
<li>Build and extend solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse</li>
<li>Design and build scalable ETL/data pipelines in a medallion architecture using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake, and Dataflow Gen2</li>
<li>Develop and maintain dimensionally modeled data warehouses supporting reporting and analytics across legal, finance, and operational functions</li>
<li>Integrate data from legacy SQL Server environments (SSRS, SSAS) and third-party systems using Azure Data Factory and Boomi</li>
<li>Architect and build AI agents and RAG pipelines using Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Copilot Studio &mdash; including document ingestion, vectorization, grounding, and prompt engineering</li>
<li>Integrate AI capabilities into user workflows via Microsoft Copilot, Teams, and Office add-ins; define agent invocation patterns, context management, and enterprise governance models</li>
<li>Implement observability, telemetry, and exception reporting across applications, data pipelines, and AI systems</li>
<li>Document data models, lineage, transformation logic, ETL workflows, and AI architecture decisions to ensure traceability and maintainability</li>
<li>Participate in sprint planning, architectural discussions, code reviews, and the firm's ongoing platform modernization strategy</li>
<li>Use Git and Azure DevOps for version control, release management, and collaboration</li>
</ul>
<p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong proficiency in C# and .NET for application and backend service development<br>
Hands-on experience with Blazor, React, and TypeScript for modern web development</li>
<li>5+ years of data engineering experience with Microsoft technologies; SQL Server and T-SQL expertise required</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Delta Lake, and Dataflow Gen2 Proficiency with ETL tools including Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Boomi for third-party integration</li>
<li>Proven experience building or operating AI-enabled systems in production, including RAG pipelines and agent frameworks</li>
<li>Practical understanding of ML and generative AI concepts, including model limitations, responsible AI principles, and governance</li>
<li>Familiarity with medallion architecture, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data warehouse design</li>
<li>Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in a legal context</li>
<li>Experience with low-code/no-code platforms including Microsoft Power Platform<br>
Proficiency with Git and Azure DevOps</li>
<li>Ability to explain technical decisions, AI behavior, and data architecture to non-technical stakeholders</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience</li>

<p>Compensation: The national average salary range for this role is $72,000 - $121,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience.&rdquo;</p>

Our Grid business unit is seeking an experienced Lead EHV Substation Engineer.</div><div></div><div><br>
Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
This position offers you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of distribution and transmission substation projects.</li><li>
As a Lead EHV Substation Engineer, you will take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution for EHV substation projects up to 765kV</li><li>
Serve as a subject matter specialist in EHV substation physical design (500kV and above).</li><li>
You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering and design issues.</li><li>
As a Lead Substation Engineer, you will prepare or review reports and support project deliverables that present technical and project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&amp;L formats. Typical deliverables include: Facility Studies, General Arrangement, Equipment Plans and Sections, Foundation Plans, Grounding and Conduit Plans, Equipment Connection Details, Control Building Plans and Sections, and AC/DC system designs.</li><li>

This position requires a BSEE with a power systems or controls emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering program.</li><li>
12 or more years experience with a focus on protection / control / telecommunications for high voltage substations; including design, installation, and coordination.</li><li>
3 or more years of experience with 500kV and/or 765kV substation design.</li><li>
Knowledge of physical design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and 3D models.</li><li>
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.</li><li>
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.</li><li>
Proficiency with MS Office applications.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Valued but not required skills and experience:</div><ul><li>
Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.</li><li>
Familiar with Bentley Substation, BlueBeam, AutoCAD E or SDS design software.</li><li>

Protection &amp; controls experience.</li><li>
Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards as they relate to physical substation design. This includes the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI - C2).</li><li>
