Essential Job Functions &amp; Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b>Field Experience Coordination:</b> Oversee practicum and internship placements for the School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling programs, including responsibility for ensuring students are appropriately placed in qualified training sites that meet program and accreditation standards.</li>
<li><b>Teaching Responsibilities:</b> The standard graduate faculty teaching load is 21 credits (7 courses) per academic year. This position includes a course release to support administrative and programmatic responsibilities related to the Clinical Director role. Teaching assignments will focus on field experience courses such as Practicum and Internship.</li>
<li><b>Grant-Funded Initiatives:</b> Provide opportunities for student engagement in grant-supported programs, including program development and student support services.</li>
<li><b>Student Placement &amp; Site Relations:</b> Lead and manage the practicum and internship placement process, including working directly with students to secure and finalize appropriate field placements that align with program requirements. Maintain consistent communication with clinical sites and oversee the placement process from initial coordination through completion of the field experience.</li>
<li><b>Partnership Development:</b> Lead the development and maintenance of partnerships with PK&ndash;12 schools and mental health agencies to support School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling student placements. Identify, cultivate, and sustain new site relationships that align with program goals and ensure access to high-quality, supervised field experiences.</li>
<li><b>Student Advising &amp; Mentorship:</b> Advise and mentor graduate students, fostering their academic and professional development.</li>
<li><b>Program Development &amp; Accreditation:</b> Collaborate on program assessment, curriculum development, and efforts related to CACREP accreditation to maintain and enhance program quality.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p>

<li>Experience teaching in online and hybrid formats.</li>
<li>Experience working with diverse student populations.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard</li>

<p><b>Required Skills &amp; Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program.</li>
<li>Credentialing as a certified School Counselor and/or Licensed Mental Health Counselor; credentialing in both areas is preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of five years of relevant field experience as a School Counselor and/or Mental Health Counselor, with experience in both settings preferred.</li>
<li>Experience teaching graduate-level courses, particularly field experience courses such as practicum and internship in School Counseling and/or Mental Health Counseling.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage, and support student practicum and internship placements.</li>
<li>Ability to build partnerships with schools, agencies, and clinical sites.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and community partners in support of program and student success.</li>
<li>Commitment to fostering an inclusive and multicultural learning environment.</li>
</ul>

<li>PhD in Counseling from a CACREP accredited institution.</li>
<li>Current licensure and/or certification as a School Counselor and/or LMHC in New York State or eligibility for licensure in New York State.</li>

The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment.</p><b><br>
