The College Counseling Office liaises with all constituents in the school as well as many professionals outside of the school, and the Administrative Assistant not only supports the office in all aspects of the work but also may be the school’s first point of contact with students, families, and other academic institutions.
 
Responsibilities

The program emphasizes enriched academic, financial, and personal support, including comprehensive and personalized advisement, career development, academic support services, funding for tuition and textbooks and MTA OMNY cards. Reporting to the Director for Recruitment and Program Support, the Associate Director is responsible for engagement programs, support services and operations for over 6,000 students.

<ul><li>Supervise recruitment, onboarding, training, timesheet processing, and semester schedules for part-time staff &ndash; coaches, tutors and mentors. Serve as liaison to Human Resources.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Supervise the development and implementation of academic and engagement interventions to support the retention of at-risk students</li></ul>

<ul><li>Collaborate with the Advisement and Recruitment teams to support the goals and priorities of ASAP</li></ul>
<ul><li>Cultivate professional relationships with college partners to advance engagement strategies for students</li></ul>

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and six years' relevant experience required including two years of supervision.

The Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recruiting a full-time Addiction Psychiatrist or Addiction Medicine Physician to join the Addiction Institute of Mount Sinai West in a hybrid role providing clinical supervision to addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Both our Inpatient Addiction Unit and our Outpatient Program are co-located on the ninth floor of Mount Sinai West Hospital in Midtown Manhattan and are staffed by an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, mental health clinicians, nurses and trainees of all levels.

The physician will provide clinical care and supervision to a small census of inpatients admitted to our Inpatient Addiction Unit that are cared for by psychiatry residents or addiction psychiatry / addiction medicine fellows. The physician will also provide clinical supervision to addiction medicine fellows in their outpatient addiction continuity clinic which provides the full-spectrum of addiction pharmacotherapy including injectable buprenorphine products and also provide direct patient care in the clinic.

This is an academic position that comes with a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine and includes clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows in addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine.

Preference is accorded to candidates with fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine or with previous clinical experience in providing medication-assisted treatment for people with substance use disorders.
