</ul><div>Clinical Duties:</div>
<ul><li>Welcoming and greeting patients.</li>
<li>Maintaining HIPAA and always performing OSHA standards.</li>
<li>Taking medical histories, recording patients' chief complaint and documenting provider evaluation notes of visit in patients&rsquo; chart.</li>
<li>Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review during clinical exams.</li>
<li>Preparing patients for examination-Prepping exam rooms for clinical, surgical or cosmetic procedures and assisting providers during exams with patient care.</li>
<li>Preparing and administering medications as directed by a provider.</li>
<li>Explaining treatment procedures to patients.</li>
<li>Ensuring all consents are signed by the patient prior to provider performing any type of procedure.</li>
<li>Pre and post photos to be taken and documentation to be listed in detail for any procedure, biopsy or surgical along with cosmetic.</li>
<li>Collecting, labeling and preparing laboratory specimens.</li>
<li>Instructing patients about medication.</li>
<li>Removing sutures and changing dressings.</li>
<li>Maintaining proper cleaning of medical instruments and sterilization.</li>
<li>Reviewing office use medication and patient samples expiration dates.</li>
<li>Properly disinfecting and restocking of medical supplies in patient exam rooms.</li>
<li>Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits. Being a patient Liaison. Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician&rsquo;s office.</li>
</ul><div>Qualifications:</div>
<ul><li>Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of one (1) year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in Dermatology or a closely related specialty; with a willingness and genuine interest to learn.</li>

The David J. Sugarbaker Division of Thoracic Surgery in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to provide high quality surgical care under the direction of a group of physicians at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Candidate will be expected to provide clinical excellence and scholarly enthusiasm. The provider will have direct patient care responsibilities. The selected candidate will be appointed as a faculty Instructor and be eligible for full faculty benefits.
 
Job Duties
 
Primary responsibilities include inpatient care of thoracic surgery patients in coordination with attending physician and resident physician teams. This will include thorough pre-round chart review, engagement in collaborative rounds with attending physicians as well as independent rounding, documentation of clinical decision-making and treatment plans, coordination and execution of the day’s care plan, including wound management and other procedural interventions as needed, and frequent follow up on pt progress and testing to ensure patients are progressing through their plan of care.
 
Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations. See consults independently and/or with residents/fellows in various settings – floor, ICU, ED, etc.
 Formulate assessments and plans and evaluate the patient response to care
 Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic procedures, including, but not limited to x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and MR and CT imaging
 Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record system
 Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments (while inpatient and upon discharge)
 Educate patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care and health maintenance
 Remove chest tubes and JP drains as indicated, provide wound care to chest tube sites and surgical wounds
 Perform bedside simple wound debridement, suture closure, and bedside intrapleural therapeutic procedures
 Provide wound care and education on cervical esophagostomies, negative pressure wound therapies (wound vac), feeding tubes, indwelling pleural catheters, and tracheostomies to patients and staff

<div>The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Engineering &amp; Analytics Department, a team dedicated to operationalizing critical data and analytics for digital business initiatives. The Principal Data Engineer plays a pivotal role in delivering scalable, governed, and high-quality data solutions through the Context Engine framework, working collaboratively with institutional stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making. The Principal Data Engineer is responsible for leading complex end-to-end data engineering efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and improving time-to-solution for analytics initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a preferred Master's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, along with extensive experience in enterprise data engineering and analytics delivery. Ideal experience includes deep familiarity with Epic systems, SAP Web Intelligence, Power BI, and data modeling tools such as Caboodle and Clarity, along with strong experience in clinical reporting and analytics use cases.

Responsibilities 
Data Engineering - End-to-End Solution Delivery: 
<ul><li>Lead, communicate, and participate in end-to-end solution delivery across the Context Engine framework</li><li>Integrate data governance processes across ingestion, ingress, egress, curation, transformation, modeling, and visualization</li><li>Build and manage data pipelines supporting data flow from acquisition to consumption for defined use cases</li><li>Incorporate metadata management, data provenance, security, and data quality processes into pipelines</li><li>Manage stakeholder relationships and proactively communicate priorities and delivery timelines</li><li>Drive data requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs beyond initial requests</li><li>Implement complex analytics deliverables including reports, metrics, dashboards, extracts, and visualizations</li><li>Perform complex data analysis, testing, and problem solving using SQL and NoSQL technologies</li><li>Collaborate with data engineers to support enterprise integration and institutional data strategies</li></ul>
Standards, Testing &amp; System Maintenance: 
<ul><li>Manage adherence to standard operating procedures and institutional policies for data and analytics delivery</li><li>Ensure build standards are met, including governance oversight and approvals</li><li>Prepare documentation for enhancements and new technology implementations</li><li>Execute and monitor change control processes, including audits where applicable</li><li>Perform and oversee quality control, testing, and peer review of analytics solutions</li><li>Manage system updates and releases for assigned analytics modules</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices</li><li>Participate in after-hours application support and downtime procedures</li></ul>
Educate and Train: 
<ul><li>Lead and train stakeholders on data pipelining and data preparation techniques</li><li>Develop and implement training plans for Context Engine tools and systems</li><li>Deliver institutional, departmental, and one-on-one training sessions</li><li>Mentor and guide less experienced team members through coaching and knowledge transfer</li><li>Serve as liaison with customers and OneIS to deliver effective technical solutions</li></ul>
