Under supervision of the Site Medical Director, the Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive, compassionate, and thoughtful care to our patients in the New York City jail system. The Physician Assistant will provide general primary care including conducting histories and physicals, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, and evaluating the need for consult services</p><p><b>

Skills and experience that will lead to success</b></h2><ul><li>
Responsible for consulting and advising internal partners and external clients about national and regional health and welfare laws and regulations. These include ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and the Internal Revenue Code rules on benefit taxation.</li><li>
Identify compliance issues in the design, operation, and administration of employer health and welfare plans and suggest resolutions through exceptional research, critical thinking, writing, and communication skills,</li><li>
Explain compliance concepts and options to clients and consultants in layperson&rsquo;s terms</li><li>
Track and monitor new laws and regulations, as well as revisions to existing laws on the federal and state level that impact health and welfare plans.</li><li>
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal partners. Explain compliance changes to various national and regional laws and regulations. Include the administrative, strategic, financial, and development implications.</li><li>
Research and respond to health and welfare plan questions in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Draft and review notices, plan documents, SPDs, and other regulatory communications and provide analysis on compliance issues.</li><li>

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Required Experience:</b></div><ul><li>
3 to 5 years current legal experience (consulting firm, law firm, and/or corporate counsel) in health and welfare benefit plans with strong knowledge and practical experience in ERISA, ACA, ADA, HIPAA, and the Internal Revenue Code.</li><li>
Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>
Experience with mental health parity, ERISA fiduciary liability and/or state pharmacy compliance laws a plus.</li></ul><div><b>

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li><li>
Law degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>

Salary range for the position</b></div><div>
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is [$160,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant&rsquo;s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant&rsquo;s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon&rsquo;s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
