Job Responsibilities
<br>Serves as the central scheduling resource for on-site Spanish interpretation.
<br>Serves as a central scheduling and monitoring of resources for contract interpreter needs for Sign and other spoken languages.
<br>Serves to assess and determine best mode of interpretation service to meet appointment needs, from on-site to telephonic or video interpreting resources.
<br>Serves to manage and triage acuity of interpretation requests and delivery of service.
<br>Works cooperatively with other departments, schedulers/requestors, and clinical providers to promote and maintain efficient interpreter services and processes.
<br>Maintains Interpreting Services databases, EPIC Interpreting Orders (inpatient and outpatient workflows) and relevant communication equipment.
<br>Serves to assign and dispatch Spanish on-site and contracted medical interpreters to clinical encounters.
<br>Assists department leaders with staff scheduling based on patient language demographic volumes.
