Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct background research using written sources and interviews with subject matter experts to inform written products.</li><li>
Perform factchecking and editorial review to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across written materials.</li><li>
Edit and refine content to ensure alignment with organizational messaging, voice, and communication objectives.</li><li>
Ensure written materials adhere to federal communication standards including plain language and accessibility requirements.</li><li>
Collaborate with writers, editors, communications staff, and subject matter experts to develop and refine content.</li><li>
Apply AP Style and plain language writing principles to produce high-quality, reader-friendly communications products.</li><li>
Support the development of both short-form and long-form communications content.</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications:

Proficiency in AP Style, plain language writing, and editing for scientific accuracy.</li><li>
