What You&rsquo;ll Do
The ASPCA is seeking a multidisciplinary video producer that will develop, shoot, edit and optimize content for social media to bring our mission to save, transform and protect animals to life. This producer serves as a critical bridge between the Multimedia and Social Media teams, translating social strategy into compelling, social-first content that tells the ASPCA&rsquo;s story and engages our audiences. The ASPCA's Manager of Social Video Production will create short-form content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn by utilizing original footage and assets from the Multimedia team and organizational collaborators to tell stories, share information and drive social engagement.
The Manager of Social Video Production will be proficient in all aspects of production - from video ideation and coordinating shoot logistics, to independent camera and audio production, to meticulously organized edits and implementing motion graphics. Equally as important as their technical abilities, the ideal candidate will be a creative powerhouse eager to apply both innovative storytelling techniques for social audiences as well as traditional forms of video engagement. In addition to producing video and collaborating with the larger Creative + Multimedia team, the Manager of Social Video Production will work closely with ASPCA&rsquo;s Social Media team, providing daily and long-term coordination of visual content and ensuring that all social video content aligns with both ASPCA&rsquo;s brand and our audience growth and engagement strategies.
Finally, the ASPCA&rsquo;s Manager of Social Video Production will provide expertise in online video optimization, including sharing their understanding of how focus, style and tone impact audience engagement, how to accurately measure video success across each social media channel, and how to leverage SEO for video content discovery.

Social Multimedia Content Production
<ul><li>Collaborate with program, marketing, external and creative teams to identify storytelling opportunities for social platforms.</li>
<li>Partner with the Social Media team to develop multimedia content aligned with channel priorities.</li>
<li>Film video content across ASPCA locations; operate cameras, lighting and audio equipment across production scales.</li>
<li>Edit videos using Adobe Premiere and produce motion graphics using After Effects and Photoshop.</li>

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. As the Guardian embarks on an ambitious effort to reach new audiences and expand our visual journalism, we're seeking an accomplished, creative and strategic leader to oversee our US video team. The head of video will set the vision for the team in partnership with other newsroom leaders, recruit and develop staff, and play a central role in overseeing the Guardian's US video output, including shortform video, breaking news, and new shows for YouTube and other platforms. The right candidate will have experience building large, engaged audiences and experience with the YouTube ecosystem and algorithm. The Social Media Editor executes EW&rsquo;s strategy, content, and audience development on social platforms. They also work closely with EW&rsquo;s Social Media Director as well as the video, edit, and sales teams in exploring and developing strategy for emerging platforms. In addition to amplifying the work of the EW edit staff, the Social Media Editor will execute social-first or social-only original franchises, including short or platform-specific video series and secure social content from photo shoots, red carpets, and other exclusive opportunities. They should be comfortable conducting interviews both on- and off-camera. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for visual storytelling, a solid understanding of evolving video trends, and can independently conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-performing video content optimized for each platform.
