We are looking for a detail-oriented and financially sharp Treasury &amp; Finance Operations Analyst to own daily treasury, cash, and finance operations across a multi-entity real estate portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of cash management, payment operations, banking administration, and financial reporting &mdash; and requires someone highly organized, sound in judgment, and able to serve as a reliable bridge between leadership, banking partners, an offshore accounting team, external deal partners, and vendors.</p><p>

Property &amp; Deal-Level Funding</p><ul><li>Manage property-level funding requests across the portfolio; track pending vs. completed transfers and communicate status to leadership</li><li>Flag priority funding needs and gaps with sufficient lead time for leadership to act</li><li>Build and maintain deal-specific Excel trackers showing sources, uses, and reconciled cash positions; present to stakeholders as needed</li></ul><p>
Accounting Coordination</p><ul><li>Act as the US-side point of contact for the offshore accounting team, providing bank statements, transaction data, and reporting inputs for reconciliations and financials</li><li>Pursue missing invoices and documentation to support timely bookkeeping</li><li>Distribute banking files, debit files, and financial documentation to internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Support month-end close by ensuring cash activity is accurately reflected and open items are resolved</li></ul><p>
Transaction Validation &amp; Accounting Guidance</p><ul><li>Review transactions for proper accounting treatment and advise the accounting team on recording, including identifying wash entries and intercompany items</li><li>Respond to external partners and deal counterparties on accounting and payment questions</li></ul><p>

This is a broadband position meaning the department will either hire for a Student Success Analyst I or II depending on the candidate's education and experience.

Designs, plans, and conducts institutional research to support the strategic decision making of senior administration and helps advance university goals through careful design and implementation of studies to answer empirical policy and planning questions. Applies advance knowledge of design in conducting complex institutional research studies in the department of Institutional Research. Uses research methodology and analysis, including problem definition, study design, data collection, and analysis.

This position serves on the Student Success Research and Analysis team, which supports data-driven decision making in the areas of Undergraduate Student Success and Enrollment Services. The ideal candidate will have experience in social science research and the skills to create sophisticated dashboards.

Job Summary

The Senior E&P Accountant will be responsible for monthly financial close activities, controls and technical accounting. They will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, maintain accurate records, and improve processes for Onshore/ Offshore drilling, completion and production activities.

They will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely, as business needs allow.

Responsibilities
<br><br>
Preparing monthly journal entries to accrue lease operating expenses
<br>Analyzing actual lease operating expenses compared to forecast, budget, prior period
<br>Partnering with business teams to understand the operations and ensure actuals and accruals properly reflect the operating activities
<br>Ensuring variances to planned performance and impacts appropriately analyzed, understood and communicated to relevant stakeholders
<br>Preparing Income Statement line-item variance explanations as necessary to support monthly financial close and internal reporting
<br>Compiling the Monthly Financial Book for the CEO and Executive Management
<br>Reviewing AFEs for proper accounting classification
<br>Reviewing procurement contracts for leases and ASC 842 compliance
<br>Analyzing marketing contracts for normal purchase normal sales treatment under ASC 815
<br>Preparing Balance Sheet account reconciliations and propose adjustments as needed
<br>Helping maintain a robust control environment across the Controller’s function
<br>Ensuring compliance of all tasks with relevant accounting standards and SOX controls
<br>Assisting with internal and external audits
