The Telecommunications Services, Communications Infrastructure and Communications Software team currently covers 23-listed companies across subsectors and adjacencies including large cap telecommunications, AI and wireless infrastructure and emerging communications software companies. In addition to coverage of publicly traded companies, the team regularly vets a number of private companies for potential IPOs.
The candidate for the position should be intellectually curious and have a deep desire to learn. The candidate should also have some experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis, as well as strong verbal communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate possesses experience in telecommunications/technology research. Further, the candidate should possess experience with company modeling and have a passion for following the stock market.
The candidate will work alongside their Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst peers in all aspects, from idea generation to company meetings, including but not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Perform complex financial modeling &amp; valuation work</li><li>
Write regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratch</li><li>
Develop databases integral to our research product</li><li>
Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgment</li><li>
Work with Senior Analyst to develop key industry themes</li><li>
Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies</li><li>
Participate and contribute to client meetings and events</li><li>

Attends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records data</li><li>
Leads and/or supports the preparation of associated financial models and written reports, which can be complex and quantitative in nature</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent years of experience (business, economics or accounting degree preferred)</li><li>
2+ years of experience in investment banking and/or research (equity or credit, sell-side or buy-side)</li><li>
Strong writing and spreadsheet skills. Must be an expert at MS Word and MS Excel</li><li>
Along with Finance and Accounting financial modeling skills, should have strong understanding of economics, macroeconomic factors, regulatory and emerging technology trends.</li><li>
