About the role
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed SRE team to work on our production infrastructure. You will be responsible for supporting a team and driving a roadmap that makes Radar&rsquo;s services scalable and highly available worldwide. Radar is a high-throughput, data intensive application handling 1 billion+ API calls per day. Over the past year, Radar has been used on over 300MM devices worldwide. We run a multi-availability zone architecture and a major initiative is to enhance our deployment to be multi-region.
The stack:
We use Terraform to manage our infrastructure.
We deploy everything to AWS via EKS.
We use MongoDB deployed to Atlas.
We do CI and deployments via CircleCI.
We monitor production with CloudWatch, Grafana, Pingdom and PagerDuty.
DNS is managed by CloudFlare.
Most engineers are in the on-call rotation.
Our main server languages are TypeScript and Rust.
Our data pipelines are written in Airflow and Scala Spark.
We sponsor OpenStreetMaps, MapLibre and OpenAddresses.
How we use AI:
<ul><li>Engineers choose what AI tools they use, Claude and Codex being the most popular.
</li><li>We're actively building Claude skills - for example we've taught it how to debug HorizonDB, our geospatial database.
</li><li>All code changes are reviewed by an Engineer knowledgeable in that area. Claude and Codex also review all PRs.
</li><li>There is a range of how much engineers use AI. Most use it daily if not weekly.
</li><li>We are excited about what AI can do, but we also recognize the risks and don't compromise our coding standards.
</li></ul>How we work:
Most of our engineering team are former technical co-founders or former Radar interns from schools like Waterloo and CMU. Most engineers at Radar fit one of two molds, technically: either Staff level expertise in one stack, or Multi-Stack at any level. We say Multi-Stack because &quot;Full-Stack&quot; has the connotation of &quot;Frontend and Backend&quot;, but Radar Engineers might also work on Mobile or Data engineering. Not that you need to be an expert in all of those, but a desire to learn, jump around to different stacks and get things done is the important part.
We care a lot about shipping fast and talking to customers. We're committed to our product vision of full-stack location infrastructure, but we also know that customer feedback is a treasure map to gold. Even though Slack is the brain of our company, working together in-person in our NYC HQ is the fastest way for us to get things done. We meet on Mondays to plan out work for the week in small groups and use Linear for planning. All projects are run by an Engineering lead, an executive and a Go-to-Market lead. Engineers figure out what to build, talk to customers, talk to prospects, help close them, get them live and make them successful.
One of the hardest and most valuable practices we have is Walk A Mile - which is shorthand for putting yourself in the user's shoes - but also for literally walking a mile and dogfooding the Radar SDK, because you can't create location infrastructure behind a desk - you have see how the device behaves in the real world. To us, a week is a long time, and we expect to ship big things every week.
The hiring process:
After a call with our Technical Recruiter, you'll do several technical Zoom calls with members of our engineering team: code screen, coding round, and system design round. If those go well we'll invite you to our NYC HQ for a final round interview. You'll meet one of our co-founders, someone from outside engineering, and meet more people from Radar. We'll go into more depth about how we work to see if there is a match.

Your Team and Role:
Blackstone's Security Engineering (SecEng) team is responsible for securing the firm's software, cloud, AI, and platform ecosystems through scalable controls, developer enablement, and secure-by-design engineering practices.
We are seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead Blackstone's Application Security program. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of security engineers and driving the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of application and product security capabilities across the firm.
The role partners closely with Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Security Operations, Data Science, and Technology Leadership teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
The Application Security team performs security design reviews, technical security reviews, secure code reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability management, software supply chain security, developer security enablement, and AI security assessments. The team also develops and operates internally built security tooling that enables secure software delivery at scale.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in application security with proven leadership experience managing engineers, driving security programs, and influencing stakeholders across a large enterprise environment. 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead and manage Blackstone's Application Security team, providing technical leadership, mentoring, career development, and performance management.</li><li>
Own the Application Security program roadmap, strategy, and execution across software, cloud-native, and AI-enabled platforms.</li><li>
Oversee Security Design Reviews (SDRs), Technical Security Reviews (TSRs), Source Code Reviews (SCRs), Vulnerability Disclosure, penetration testing activities, and vulnerability remediation programs.</li><li>
Partner with engineering organizations to embed security controls and secure-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.</li><li>

Qualifications:<ul><li>
8+ years of experience in application security, product security, software engineering, or security engineering.</li><li>
3+ years of experience managing security engineers or leading security engineering teams.</li><li>
Deep understanding of application security principles, secure software development lifecycles, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and secure architecture design.</li><li>
Experience conducting security design reviews, code reviews, penetration testing, and security assessments for modern software platforms.</li><li>
Experience securing cloud-native architectures, preferably AWS.</li><li>
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, developer platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, and modern software delivery practices.</li><li>

Expected annual base salary range:
$175,000 - $250,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. GENERAL DUTIES
This class of positions encompasses professional engineering work and project management of the University's capital and rehabilitation construction program. There are three assignment levels within this class of positions. At each level a University engineer may sign and seal engineering drawings for which that individual has supervisory or preparatory responsibility, and may sign and seal other official documents. All personnel perform related work.
Assignment Level I
Under general supervision, performs responsible supervisory, or difficult and responsible engineering work, such as the following:
<ul><li>Is in charge of a Unit of major field of engineering.</li>
<li>
Plans, assigns and reviews the work of subordinates, prepares progress reports, and may represent a college or the University in relations with contractors and their representatives, damage claimants and their representatives, and consultants.</li>

Baruch College Campus Facilities reporting to the Assistant Vice President has over 150 administrative and professional staff, custodial and skilled trades. The Planning Office within the Campus Facilities is responsible for the College&rsquo;s planning, design, and construction projects. The office also manages the space programming; enhancements and renovations throughout the campus; the annual capital plan submittal; and signage. Additionally the office is supported by the Director of Operations, Chief Administration Superintendent, Environmental Health &amp; Safety Officer and others. The University Engineer will report directly to the Planning Director within Campus Planning.
<ul><li>Provide engineering oversight for multiple concurrent capital, DASNY-managed, and in-house construction projects across Baruch College&rsquo;s five academic buildings and public plaza, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and University requirements.</li>

Review and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire protection, and building systems designs for renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization projects to support campus operations and long-term facility performance.</li>

Within the Platform group:

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Elliptic's Product-Engineering organisation, focusing on data engineering solutions that power our blockchain analytics and intelligence products. This is a hands-on engineering role: as a senior member of the team, you will spend the majority of your time designing, building, and shipping the data platform yourself, while driving the technical direction that ensures it continues to meet the growing demands of blockchain analysis.
Challenges include building a blockchain-agnostic solution that scales globally, processing large batch and streaming datasets, and solving complex data processing problems that give our customers deep insights into the flow of value across the crypto ecosystem.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

Our data and intelligence platform sits at the heart of everything we do. As a senior engineer, you will personally design and build data systems that serve as the backbone of all Elliptic products. By collaborating across blockchain, intelligence and product teams, you will deliver innovative features that help the world fight financial crime and increase transparency in the crypto space. What you will do</h2><ul><li>
Write, ship, and maintain production code as a hands-on engineer.</li><li>
Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.</li><li>
Contribute to technical decision-making across batch and streaming data solutions.</li><li>
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts to build customer-focused products.</li><li>
Explore and integrate new technologies (e.g. data orchestration or cloud-native tools) to optimise performance and scalability.</li><li>
Take shared ownership of data systems, from design to deployment and ongoing improvement and support.</li><li>
Perform thoughtful peer reviews that raise code quality and share best practices across the team.</li><li>
Contribute to platform-wide initiatives that improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.</li><li>
Help shape the technical roadmap for data engineering across Elliptic.</li><li>

What we are looking for</h2><ul><li>
Hands-on production experience with Scala and functional programming.</li><li>
Ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud-based environment.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.</li><li>
Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</li><li>
Judgement to balance scalability, performance, and maintainability.</li><li>
Experience with data modelling and workflow orchestration.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Bonus points for</h2><ul><li>
Experience in stream processing frameworks and event-driven architecture.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).</li><li>
Experience working in containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).</li><li>
Interest in AI-driven tooling for engineering workflows.</li><li>
